About the job
We're a small custom print shop in Elk Grove. We print and press custom apparel, DTF transfers, banners, signs, stickers and promotional products for local businesses, schools, teams and events.
We're hiring one part-time production team member to help us get orders made, checked and out the door. This is hands-on work at the heat press and the trim table — not a desk job, and not a sales job.
You do not need any printing experience. We will train you on every machine you touch. If you're dependable, careful with details, and willing to learn, you can do this job.
What you'll do
- Press DTF transfers onto shirts, hoodies, hats, totes and other blanks using the heat press
- Weed, trim and cut vinyl decals, stickers, banners and signs
- Trim and quality-check gang sheets as they come off the printer
- Pull the right blanks for each order and check them against the work order — right item, right color, right size, right count
- Fold, tag, bag, box and label finished orders for pickup and shipping
- Flag anything that looks off before it leaves the shop
- Keep the presses, trim tables and shop floor clean, stocked and organized
- Help with receiving shipments and basic inventory counts
Minimum requirements
This is the whole list. If you can check these off, you're qualified to apply.
- 18 years or older
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable way to get to our Elk Grove studio for your scheduled shifts, on time
- Able to read a written work order and count accurately — this is most of the job
- Careful with details: the right shirt, the right size, the design straight and in the right spot
- Comfortable being on your feet for most of a shift and lifting up to 30 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Comfortable working around heat presses (the shop runs warm)
- Communicate — let us know ahead of time if your schedule changes
What you do not need
- No prior printing, pressing, or production experience
- No design or computer skills
- No resume required — the application below is the whole thing
- No college or specific diploma
Every one of us learned this job here. Training is paid and starts on your first shift.
Nice to have (not required)
- Any hands-on work: warehouse, retail stockroom, packing, assembly, crafts
- You've used a Cricut, a heat press, or a vinyl cutter at home
- You're available some Saturdays during our busy season
What we provide
- Paid, hands-on training on every machine — start day one with zero experience
- A consistent part-time schedule set in advance, with flexibility around school
- Employee discount on custom apparel and print
- A real path up: production lead, and eventually warehouse production manager
- A small team where your work is visible and it matters that you're there
Where this job can lead
We'd rather grow our leads than hire them. This is the path we're building as the shop grows — how fast you move depends on you and on how quickly we grow, but the floor is where every one of these starts.
- 1
Production Team MemberThis role
Where you start. Part-time, paid training, learning every machine on the floor — press, cutter, trim table, packing.
- 2
Production Lead
Once you know the floor: running the day's queue, setting the order of work, checking quality before it ships, and training the next new person.
- 3
Warehouse Production Manager
The role we're building toward: owning the whole production floor — scheduling, inventory, and the team.
